Obituary for Mr. Christopher "Chris" Lloyd McCuaig

Christopher Lloyd McCuaig
November 19th, 1975 – July 23rd, 2018

Mr. Christopher Lloyd McCuaig passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 23rd, 2018.

Chris was born in Thunder Bay on November 19th, 1975. He studied Aviation Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Confederation College, and later pursued his ticket as a Journeyman Steamfitter/Pipefitter. Chris worked with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 628, later leaving to join Resolute Forest Products. Chris was a very dedicated and hard working employee. He always prided himself with high work ethics and standards. He had a thirst for knowledge and was always trying to further educate himself. Chris was always up for a challenging game of Clue, Chess or Monopoly with his girls which usually always ended in accusations of him or Kenzie cheating. He loved to be at camp with family and friends and always had a funny joke or comment on the tip of his tongue. In appropriate company Chris often offered some inappropriate humour with his friend “the Crusher” and was always up for “just one more…”.

Chris is survived by his wife Andrea (nee Kibzey) and his three strong, smart, talented and beautiful daughters Makenzie, Leah and Alexa (Lulu) as well as his fur babies Tiko, Murphy and Cooper; his parents Lloyd and Susan McCuaig; siblings Shawn (Natasha, soon to be baby Noah), Jeff (Lindsey, Celest and Violet) and Kerri (Tony, Dylan and Kayla); Grandmother Ilene Gemmell; numerous loving uncles, aunts and cousins; Mother and Father in-law Patti and Jerry Kibzey; his best friend and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jeremy and Dawn Teepell and nephews Tyler, Brayden (bobo) and Kolton Teepell. He will be fondly remembered by the numerous friends that he has made throughout his life.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Virginia and Gordon McCuaig, aunts Lenore and Elizabeth McCuaig, grandfather Ken Gemmell, uncles Marvin Gemmell and Jake Leblanc and his loving dog Max.

A Remembrance Service will be held on Thursday August 2nd, 2018 at 1:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. A Celebration of Chris’s life will follow immediately at the DaVinci Centre in the Marco Polo Room.
